We know that Jesus Christ the Savior has declared to us ‘No one can come to the Father but through Me.’ And the Bible also tells us in John 1:11,12 ‘He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.’ There were, however, wayward deceivers who devised other plans to lead seekers of truth into the deception of false religion. To this the Lord warned with harsh words to the Pharisees of his day: ‘Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written, ‘This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me; in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ (Mark 7:6,7) After the first century in which all of Christianity was given to the world, certain Italian Romanists whose names and moral character are no longer known, recorded numerous traditions and decisions of men between AD 300 and the modern age which has become highly popular globally. Their adherents dishonor the Savior by insisting that his holy blood sacrifice on the cross was not sufficient to forgive all of mankind, but sinners must repeat taking the sacrifice Sunday after Sunday. The Book of Hebrews teaches in chapter 7:27, 9:11,12, 10:10, Romans 6:10, and 1 Peter 6:18 that the Savior died only once (see Hebrews 9:25-28) to pay the penalty for all of his believers’ sins. The Savior won salvation for us 2000 years ago.
